Craig Menzel – McMeen Elementary, Special Ed 3-6

I am married with three daughters, ages eight, seven and five. I graduated from the University of Florida. Before DTR, I worked in sales and management for 12 years. Currently, I coach high school football in Littleton. I chose DTR because of the opportunity to make the biggest difference in schools with the greatest needs. I'm enjoying working with the students and my colleagues in Cohort 2 because every day is a difference. In the coming year, I'm looking forward to getting to know my students and watching them grow. The biggest challenge for urban teachers is adopting a "no excuses" mentality. The achievement gap has to be closed. I have been pleasantly surprised by the support for schools and the DTR program.
