Gretchen Bartling – Knapp Elementary, 4th Grade

I am a CSU graduate, and previously was an outward bound instructor. I love hiking, Spanish and travel. I chose DTR because of the opportunity to go to school with a cohort and apply those skills in a classroom right away. What I like best about the program so far is using what I've learned immediately. I have built relationships with students, teachers, instructors and fellow residents. In the coming year, I'm looking forward to the challenge and excitement that comes with being an urban teacher.
