Fausto Aucancela – Greenwood Elementary, 1st Grade

I was born in Ecuador, and have lived in the USA for 10 years. Teaching is one of my passions and I feel the need to give back to the community, especially to kids. I like the opportunity to learn in a "hands on" style while I work with our school system and our kids. I have been able to use many resources to succeed in this new endeavor. I'm looking forward to being prepared and trained to be successful. I believe that the lack of support and training to face the reality of our school environment are the biggest challenges facing urban teachers today.
