Nadine Quadar – Montclair Elementary, Kindergarten

I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia and have been living in Denver since July 2009. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a major in Consumer Journalism. After spending the past year working as a kindergarten paraprofessional, I knew that teaching was the career for me and planned to go back to school for my masters degree in education. When I learned about the Denver Teacher Residency, I knew that the program was exactly what I was looking for because it combines coursework with actual teaching experience. I love that the DTR program will provide support during my first year of teaching. I am looking forward to learning as much as I can during my residency year. I am aware that urban educators face many challenges as they must fulfill many roles and the DTR will prepare me to overcome these challenges.
